Brand guidelines#

Each brand's visual identity – logo, colors, typography, imagery and tone of voice – is defined in its brand guidelines. For DNB, that's the Brandbook and its digital version, Brand Center. Eufemia builds on these guidelines for every brand it supports.

From brand to product#

Brand guidelines describe the identity. Eufemia translates it into something that works in digital products. The same principles apply to every brand:

  • Brand colors become tokens. Brand colors are kept for identity moments. Functional colors handle interaction, status and surfaces. Both are tested for contrast, so they meet accessibility requirements.
  • Typography is adapted for screens. Eufemia defines the type scale, line heights and responsive behavior for reading and dense UI.
  • Eufemia fills the gaps. Spacing, interaction states, iconography, motion and dark mode are rarely covered by brand guidelines. Eufemia defines them in the spirit of each brand.
  • Expressive and functional. The brand can be loud in campaigns, onboarding and empty states. It stays quiet in forms, tables and settings, where clarity comes first.

When Eufemia and the brand guidelines differ#

Sometimes Eufemia adjusts a brand value, most often a color, to meet accessibility requirements or to work in UI. These adjustments are deliberate and agreed with the brand teams. For digital products, use the Eufemia value.
